After their glorious Champions League triumph the season before, the Rossoneri were still one of Europe’s most feared sides. The team finished fourth in Serie A and reached the Champions League final once again, though they were beaten 1-0 by Ajax in Vienna. This shirt marks the end of an era for Fabio Capello’s first spell in charge, but also showcases Milan’s ability to remain at the very top of European football.
