Home shirt as worn by Cristiano Ronaldo at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and later throughout the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers. The bold burgundy design with tonal striping debuted on the world stage as Cristiano Ronaldo led the Seleção in Group G alongside Germany, the USA, and Ghana.

Although Portugal were eliminated in the group stage on goal difference, Ronaldo scored the winner in the final group match against Ghana and assisted a dramatic equaliser against the USA. The shirt is particularly remembered for the opening match vs Germany (0–4) and the 2–2 draw with the United States, where Ronaldo set up Varela's 95th-minute goal with a perfect cross.

It continued to be worn during Euro 2016 qualifiers — including Ronaldo’s hat-trick vs Armenia — and thus represents both a challenging tournament and the build-up to Portugal's eventual European glory.
